I kid you not, while I'm taking this picture of Banker, it is raining, thundering & ligthning.
He was laying on the love seat in the kitchen & I saw a flash of lightning & I just stood there thinking, did I just see that? Well obviously I did, Banker started trembling so hard he couldn't stand up. The thunder didn't come for a few moments, but he got off the couch & couldn't hardly walk.
The coats Beryl sent me, 2 of them were still laying folded on the kitchen table. I grabbed the top one & drapped it over him, then fastened it. He walked about the house for a moment, then stopped trembling & even went outside in the rain to potty.
I'm watching tv & I look over on the comforter & there Banker is, napping. I swear these are the best coats ever. And Banker doesn't care what color it is.

That is hilarious.
Just as a precaution, I put his coat back on this morning, he really likes that pink one with the butterflies...he went outside while it was raining!!!
We had tornado warnings earlier in the day, no torn down blinds, no poop accidents, when I got home, a very calm 13 yr old brindle with a pink coat on. Usually after a day like today, he's panting & worn out.
Even the cats were frightened last night, but Banker slept right through it.
I think Beryl just waves her magic wand that's filled with lots of love sprinkles over her coats before she mails them. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh116/KKtagShop/Smileys/hug.gif

Hilda - I don't wave a magic wand its just that these pups know I make them with extra TLC

Gabby has one on right now, she got cold. So I took the purple with sunshines on it & she's all snuggled up & sleeping. No one has worn the white with red kisses yet, I think that's going to be Smiley's. I have a feeling he's going to need one, he snuggles real close to me at night.

Banker finally let me take a coat off of him yesterday...but I saw that we're getting some showers this weekend so I'm going to put another one on him. A couple of weeks ago we had some thunder showers with tornadoes & the thunder "penetrated" his coat & he went to the closet. Kandy was here fostering & she was afraid & I really think he went in there to console her. Both slept all day in there. Right now he's stretched out on the futon with Gabby listening to classical music.
I truly love these little coats. They're just right for a little chilly night, they reflect their body heat, and they keep out the thunder boomers.

Thank goodness that only 1 out of the seven greys I have had was Thunder Phoebic and really bad. I tried EVERYTHING. The only think that ever worked - and I couldn't believe it - was The Calming Collar. Buddy was a big boy (85 lbs) and I figured this was going down with the other remedies I tried, BUT IT WORKED and it worked well. I clipped it on with thunderstorms (or fireworks) were predicted and he would just lay down and stay there until the storms passed.

I have used it on Ford when the little grandkids come over to the house and it works wonders to calm him down.

I highly recommend this collar to everyone with a thunder/noise phoebic dog.

www.thecalmingcollar.com (I think that's the correct website). I change it if it's not after I check it. :-)
