|Everything Greyhound > Greyhound Shopping Mall > New on line store - to help greyhounds|
|Posted by: 2NOFLEAS Aug 18 2010, 10:09 AM|
We're going to try something new. Beryl and I have gotten together to open an on line store. We hope that it will help us to help greyhounds and other fur friends in need. We're still adding items so be sure to keep checking back.
For our kick off start, the first items available will go to help pay down Cofax's medical costs as well as help a friend of mine from NH who has helped many greyhounds as well as other pets through the years when she owned Barkin' Biscuits. Now her own Ella needs help. Her information is on the website and the items are all noted that will go to help her out.
We're accepting items for the store to sell as donations (you don't need to send me the actual item - just a photo and information) for this or any other greyhound or group that you would like to donate to (please indicate to whom the proceeds go to an the amount that you would like to go to them). We are also accepting people to join us as a seller, please email me for more information. (sellers will be asked to help cover the monthly site fee which is determined by the number of sellers active at the time. Present fee that I am covering by myself is $10/mo. plus any paypal fees from sales) We only request that a seller give at least portion of their sales to a group, etc. of their choice. If 100% is going to donations, I will not charge any seller fees (only paypal fees when an item is sold). All fees (including paypal fees) are being covered by myself for these kick off events for Cofax and Ella.
At present, I can have up to 30 items listed.
I am set up on paypal to accept almost instant payments from sales. In the future, those are the only fees that an item will have to a seller(fees will be taken out of the sale and the balance forwarded to the sellers choice of group, event, etc) - I do not charge individual listings fees for items that go to someone in need.
If you know of a group or individual dog that is in need - please email me for consideration. firstname.lastname@example.org I wish I could set up different paypal accounts for each fundraiser - unfortunately I can only put my own in. I will keep track of each item that is listed for each event and keep in communication with the group or person to receive the help.
We'll try this idea and see if it works. I am not a non-profit or not-for-profit (yet). I am an individual, do not take out taxes and do not make an kind of profit from this. If it works out well.... I maybe consider filing.
Let me know what you think and feel free to email me any suggestions or comments you might have. Hopefully we can get this site off the ground and help some friends with as little confusion and errors as possible, but if they do happen, please have patience and forgiveness for us.
If you sign up as a member, I'll be sending out emails now and then to let members know about new events, etc.
A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYTHING GREYHOUND AND GREYBARK FOR BEING OUR SUPPORTERS.
