| Three of my dear friends lost their greys this week to osteo. My friend & yours...Dee/nygreys lost Abby. Abby started limping about a month ago. When Dee took her to the vet, the xrays showed a tumor in her shoulder. They kept her comfortable & then early this week said goodbye.
My friends Greg & Kevin, their little brindle girl Wednesday started limping about 2 weeks ago. They both researched amputation, chemo, the works. Tuesday she went for her surgery & she did good. No complications. The next afternoon they had an appointment to go visit her at 4:00. Both got there on time, but moments later, Wednesday stopped breathing.
Greg said he thinks Wednesday was waiting for them to get there so she could say goodbye. They were there when her heart stopped & they both got to hug her.
Please lift Dee, Greg & Kevin all up in your prayers for strength during this stressful & horrible time.
I know that both girls, Abby & Wednesday are whole again, they're where there is no cancer, no sickness, but their families are sad.

| Thanks Beryl, I just got word another friend of mine, Nan, her grey girl Kay died this morning from osteo.
I'm gonna have to change the title of my thread. This is just ridiculous. I never heard of a dog dying of cancer until I got into greyhounds.

| For Kay
You might want to tell your friends about Dr. Shelley Lake who is doing a study on greyhounds with Cancer.
