Everything Greyhound > Greyhound 911 > Prayers needed for Paisley

Last night I was cleaning up some BigD. One of the girls has a bit of it. When I was finished cleaning, I was getting up and Paisley and Ike where right by me and I lost my balance and pushed Paisley down and landed on her.
She cried and jumped on the sofa. Then she came to me and I saw her right foot was just hanging and she could walk on it.
I called Trish. She got home as fast as she could and on the way she got a vet appt.

The x-rays showed a broken leg.

It my fault and I am so upset this happened.

They have to put a T plate in the leg and some healing and she should be good to walk around, run and be a normal dog again.

The vet has to order the T place so surgery might not be til Friday or next week.

They put a soft cast and splint on the leg so it wouldn't move about.

We are keeping Paisley at the vet since we aren't home all day to keep an eye on Paisley. We will visit every night.

So please send prayers for Paisley and a speedy recovery.

http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh116/KKtagShop/Smileys/hug.gif Oh Tom, I'm so sorry this is how it happened, but at the same time I'm glad its not that other thing. Are you okay?
That has been one of my biggest fears, falling & hurting one of my dogs. The falling part I've already done, but to fall & hurt one of them.
Oh gosh...bless your heart! I'm going to pray for you to be free of this guilt...they were trying to help & in fact, she may have helped with your fall by keeping you from hitting the ground harder. They want to help us in any way.
I know she forgives you except.....green!!! When you know the girl's signature color is purple!!!

Thanks everyone for the good thoughts and prayers.

We saw Paisley last night and she seem better not to stressed. She walked around pretty good with the splint cast on.

She got lots of petting and loving and then she laid down and took a nap.

We saw the vet and he got the T Plate ordered and it should arrive Friday by noon by Fedex.

Hope it makes it there. One part is coming from Canada and another part from NJ.

If it comes in Friday the vet can do the surgery. Pray to God Dr B can do it and fix it.

He specializes in Greyhounds and has done other surgeries like this.

We'll be heading over today to see Paisley with some turkey, chicken and some other goodies for her.

Paisley had her bandage cast change and all looks good. Next Wed if all continues well, she might get her stitches out and a soft cast. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60/dad2paisley/smileys/cheer.gif http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60/dad2paisley/smileys/cheer.gif

Sounds like she's making a quick, uneventful recovery.

She better stay out of the way when you are putting up Xmas decorations. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh116/KKtagShop/Smileys/emo-healingangels_lecturef.gif
