Everything Greyhound > Everything Greyhound Fosters > Mad Max is here!!

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for me. I took my foster Andy back to the director, who will be placing him in his forever home this weekend. I had a hard time letting this one go, but it was for the best.

But I picked up a new one, actually 2 to bring back. We have a new foster home down here, and they took one of the hounds, and I took Max. Max is 5 years old, but he acts like a 2 year old. He loves attention, and gives big, wet kisses.

I snapped a couple quick pics while he played with the toy Lisa sent him down with.

He's adorable. I have a thing for CLBDs. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60/dad2paisley/Icons/emo-emo-th_sign0060.gif

He's a real clown! He only has half a tail, and I'll try to get pictures later. He is a Flying Penske and Kiowa Sister pup. He's settling in really well considering this is the first home he's been in.

Max looks like a cool pup. Good luck Andy in your new home. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60/dad2paisley/smileys/cheer.gif

It turns out Andy didn't go to his forever home. The family took another hound instead. That's great news for Flo, but not for Andy. Andy is back in PA, and Terri and I are thinking about going to get him again, and foster him as well as Max. We loved having Andy here, and I think Andy would enjoy having Max to play with. My guys are to low keyed for either of them, and these 2 have a little "happy energy".
I'm just wondering if we can handle 8 in our little house.

Sorry about Andy but if you could foster him again, that be cool. 8 is a lot of pups. biggrin.gif

Max went into his forever home last night!!! He's got a great family, fenced in yard, and 4 other dogs to play with.

If Andy isn't adopted by next week, I'll bring him back here to foster again.

Andy has been back for a little bit now. He's been to a few meet and greets, but he's having a time wanting to walk on the slippery, shiny floor. So he lays on a bed I take in, but he gets growly at other dogs. When we're outside, he's fine with the other dogs, so I figure he's just very, very nervous about the floor.
Last meet and greet, he wasn't afraid to walk on the floor to get to the treat bar. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a60/dad2paisley/Icons/throfl.gif

So after Christmas, I'll be working with him during the week to get him used to the floor. He's a riot. He'll be 2 at the end of next month.

Great pictures. My sister's grey Penny when she comes over to visit, she is afraid of our hardwood floors. She'll get on the sofa and won't wanna get off.
If she doesn't think about it, she is ok on the floor but if she has to think she is like bambi.
