This is cross-posted:
>
> One of our adopters called us to report that their greyhound has been
> missing since yesterday, January 19, at 3:00 p.m. Here is the information:
>
> These people are very experienced and seasoned adopters. Someone (probably
> a child) opened a gate and their three greyhounds got out. They found two
> but one is still missing. We are in central Maryland and the adopters
> moved to Coal Township, Pennsylvania making it difficult for us to help.
> They live in the Fairview Section of Coal Township, PA. Their names are
> Dottie and Skip and their address is West Pine Street, Coal Township.
> Their phone number is 570-648-5468.
>
> This is a female greyhound named Barbie:
>
> >
> She is very friendly and outgoing but has not been seen since she went
> missing.
>
> These adopters have followed all protocols and have done everything right.
> All of the authorities, vets, etc. have been notified and even students at
> the local schools have been told to be on the look out. They have printed
> up many posters and have put them up everywhere.
>
> Volunteers from Monica's Heart have been helping in the search but no one
> has spotted Barbie. This is unusual because all of the neighbors and a lot
> of people in the town know her and she is very friendly. She is also used
> to being walked daily in the neighborhood so she knows the local area.
>
> If you live in the area and can help, please contact Skip and Dottie. If
> you are a volunteer for or adopted from another group and live in the
> area, please pass this information on to any member of your group.
>
> Skip and Dottie are very upset and have been searching since yesterday. I
> know they'd appreciate any help. Feel free to contact me as well.
>
> Thanks!
>
> Hettie
> Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue, Inc.
>
> Edited to add that she is wearing ID tags.

cross post: Sighting of Barbie in Bunker Hill Section of Shamokin on Packer Street across from old Schroyes factory!!
CROSS POSTED!

SHE'S BEEN FOUND! She is home. She was lured to a family member who was holding up a Beggin Strip! They were able to get her to come to them. She is very thin and has some scrapes. Skip and Dotty have a vet appointment this evening at 6 p.m.

THANKS to EVERYONE who helped with the search and to those for your hopeful prayers and good thoughts. Please keep Barbie in your thoughts that she will do well and overcome any issues that have developed during her days on the loose.

This is testimony that one should never give up hope. Greyhound people are wonderful.
