After an almost two year break, Gryffin Designs is back in business. I spent most of 2009 fighting breast cancer, and then moved cross country where I now have a home and studio in Maryland. I've started a new series of greyhound artwork, this time working in fabric. I'm making original quilted wallhangings and purses in time to vend at Greyhounds Reach the Beach in Dewey Beach, Delaware. I still have my artwork available at my cafepress store, and have a new section for some of my new fiber arts. I hope y'all like them!!!

"All That Jazz" - fiber, 24" x 27.5"

"Tribal" - fiber (in progress)

Small purse

I hope to see some of you at Dewey ... I'm at the Sea Esta III in room 205.

Last week I drove down to South Carolina (1050 miles round trip) to pick up my new Florida girl. I've renamed her Kiesha, and she did her training races at Derby Lane. She's rather small at about 54 pounds, and apparently would slow down rather than risk getting bumped by the big boys. She's only just two years old, and delightfully beautiful and silly.

It's been about five months since I lost Gryffin to osteo, and I had no idea I was ready for another until I admired this beautiful foster and she was offered to me. I'm madly in love, and SO happy to have a greyhound in time for Dewey!!!

Bonus? She makes bonnet ears!!!

Welcome to my life, sweet Kiesha!!! wub.gif

I was having some trouble reading the dark grey default skin, so played around with some of the other ones. None of the ones I tried have the greyhound image on top. Just an ad and a jcink.com logo.

I can live with it in order to read things more easily, but it'd be cool to get that fixed when you have time.

I lost my beautiful, sweet, goofy Gryffin in April to this beast. We went through a lot of research, vet consultations, meds, worry and grief. I hope none of you ever need to worry about this, but if anyone is faced with it and wants to ask questions or hear of my experiences, I'm happy to help if I can.

Hi everyone, sorry to hear you lost your last host.

I was GreyhoundMama for many years, and am now using the username of GryffinSong, in memory of my beloved, goofy greyhound Gryffin. He died in April of osteosarcoma. He was ten and a half, and I miss him madly.

I have now settled down after travling/living in my RV for five+ years. I'm in Maryland, sharing a home with my mom and five silly Italian greyhounds. They are Merlin, Luna, Walker, Rosie and Willow.

If I didn't already have five other dogs, I'd be ready to adopt another greyhound. Probably someday, when I have fewer little ones.

I hope you all are doing great, and I look forward to hearing about your greyts.
