I have no internet at home. The modem is shot and I have to wait til they send me one in the mail. Could be 5 business days!
So, I won't be able to have access for this time. They didn't seem to care much and really couldn't help me fix the problem.

I just have to say Comcast stinks.

Sorry to hear that D2P. What a pain in the butt. We had Adelphia here, and when the father and son went to prison, it turned into Comcast. Just before it did, we switched everything to a package deal with the phone company. Now we have high speed internet, Dish Network, and 600 free minutes of long distance telephone.

Everyone around me that has Comcast, switched also. The biggest complaint is that the bill kept going up, and nothing changed.

I had the same problem with Verizon got a tech to the house said my modem was bad had one sent could not get on line with this modem they could not fix it remotely kept getting canned messages that they were working on it. Called and they said that a tech would be at the house on Tuesday took off work no tech called again and started to give me a run around until I threatened them with the media, FCC, BBB and anyone else I could think of. Finally on Thursday a tech came to the house to configure the modem. When Canadians were doing the remote tech work there was no problem now since it has been outsourced you have many problems. I still get Internet cannot display page getting very upset with Verizon

it might need configured like mine did but I still get Internet provider cannot display page so I guess I have to call again and scream

I got my modem and wireless yesterday. Went to set up. Not working so I called them. I had to wait over 1hr and then when they tried to help me no luck.
Then I tried a few things, so I called again, wait over 30 minutes. Now this is after midnight. Then the person said she transfer me to the tech support. Hmmm, no she didn't. She tranfered me to Norton, not Comcast support. The Norton person was in a foreign country. I gave them a piece of my mind.
Then I called again, after 2am, she couldn't help either.
I am very upset. Don't know what to do now? :redangry: :redangry:

Ok, I had internet when I had the ethernet cord plugged into the computer and modem but I wanted wireless. So, I had to download some info from the wireless disc and then that should have configured all my info. Nope!
I called again for help, on hold for 40mins, got hung up on. Called back, dialed all those freaking numbers, waited 20mins, got hung up again.
Called back again, did all the numbers over again. Got a person, didn't have a clue, I told him I am going to call the media, BB etc. He transferred me to nobody.

Then I called back again, waited another 20mins. Got a person, he transferred me and after 10 more minutes got a person. Finally, this person got me all set for wireless.

Geeshh... You wouldn't think it be that hard to just update your equipment.

I still hate Comcast and when we move we're not getting them ever again.

They ousource and the idiots are reading from a manual. When Verizon had Canadian techs talking to you I had not problems now with this outsourcing you are lucky if you can understand them plus they lie to you. I am not done with Verizon and the problems I had. Verizon also uses Direct TV with their package deal and they are another company you have to scream at to get satisfaction. They have been billing me for items I have either cancelled or told them I did not want so to get satisfaction off of them it is another threat with FCC, BBB, Media or the AGO. That has gotten me the refunds that were due me. I must have something on file about me as when I was billed about the NFL package which is about $50 and called and told them it was cancelled I did not want it I got through to someone right away who took if off my bill :tofunny:

Wow D2P so sorry you had to go through all of this. We have had Comcast for a very long time and have never had any problems like that.
