Recent Irish Derby winner Razldazl George has some strong ties to the United States. Moreover, the pup's very existence is the result of advice given by an Irishman inducted in America's Greyhound Hall Of Fame.

Razldazl George, who was also an unplaced finalist in the English Derby earlier in the year, is sired by U.S.-bred Kinloch Brae, who won the Derby Lane Sprint Classic for his then-owner, Mick D'Arcy, in 2008. He was later imported to stand at stud in Ireland. Kinloch Brae is very much a domestic bred, being out of Craigie Mo Town (a Molotov son) and Greys Free Style (from the Greys Julianna/Representation bitch line). George's dam is Razldazl Pearl (Larkhill Jo-Lughill Rose).

Dolores Ruth, who bred and trains Razldazl George, told reporter Michael Fortune: "It was Don (Cuddy) who suggested we breed Pearl to Kinloch Brae. He knew the damline well; we would have never have thought of going to him. He's a great man."

Cuddy was inducted into the Greyhound Hall OF Fame in 2004--the same year Representation (in George's sire's dam line) was inducted.
