My Webpage

I'm so excited, he's back to his old self. Erin has put about 3 or 4 pounds back on him, he's up to 74lbs and he is doing so much better.
He looked like his old racing self today!!!

Yep, he's back. He raced today in the 11th out of the #4 box & came from 6th place in the escape turn, to 3rd. Great photo finish...

Poor puppy, it was raining, lightening at Dubuque last night, they delayed the race an hour. Here he is with his little rain coat on. He ended up coming in 7th. Obviously he didn't want rain in his face.

This is so cool...this morning I got an email from Dennis & Wanda Curry, they live in Wisconsin, close enough to drive over to Dubuque Greyhound Park & watch some of their own dogs race. They have been trying for about a year to coordinate their trip with Ethan racing & Bazinga...he raced yesterday & there they were. So this morning I opened my email & there's this note: Guess who we saw yesterday.
Of course I opened it at 6am so I wasn't thinking real clear until I saw this one picture & squeeled with excitement!!! My puppy!!!

July 8th
Ethan ran in the 8th race out of #5. He broke really good, backed off to the end of the group & waited for the escape turn so he could make his move. Then the #1 dog pushed him wide.
But the puppy has power, he ended up in 6th place because he was able to re-group & catch up.
He's got one more race & if he doesn't grade off, then he retires!

:cheer: Ethan came in 6th last night! It didn't matter if he won or not, Andrew is retiring him. Now I'm waiting to find out if he can hitch a ride on a hauler. We're waiting to find out if the guy is taking dogs to Southland or is going to be going the interstate passed Southland. If he is, he's bringing Ethan. My friend Cheryl has credentials to off load dogs at Southland. Even though the hauler doesn't go beyond the security gates, dogs can only be off loaded by official kennel owners/trainers/helpers.
I could have asked Ed, but he may have dogs himself coming off that load....so I can't burden anyone with dogs coming off the load. They'll have their hands full.
The haulers come in anywhere from 3am to 6am...and Cheryl has met many haulers in the middle of the night so we're ready.
I will definitly post it here!!!AND pictures! :blkgrey:

Me too! Its so hard to believe this serious racers are now goofballs. I love how they still race around the backyard.
The other night they were running to the right. It was really hilarious to me because I'm so used to them running to the left. Ethan was leading them so it must be an Iowa thing. ha ha ha He's learned the length & width of the yard so he's doing zoomies better.
Thurles cracks me up with his twirls in the air & begging Smiley to play with him.
