Found this on Greytalk

Hi - I just wanted to ask the list for prayers for Pico.

Pico has been having instability issues with her back end, and at her new foster home she's been getting progressively worse.

Good news is that the X-ray was clear as a bell. The vet is discussing her case with one of the vets at the specialty clinic, as to the next steps (orthopedist or neurologist).

So please, send up some prayers, healing light, and good thoughts for this little stripey-faced girl that can't seem to catch a break!!!!

more info

Tim told me she's been moved to a foster home closer to the vet. They'll be getting her to the right specialist, but your prayers and healing light are always welcome

Pico update ... it's not good news, folks; I'm sorry to start the week out this way.

Quote

While the good news is we did find that Pico LOVES dry food. . .just plain with no water added. . .and she’s been eating a lot of it that way. . .which is a good thing!. . .her back-end issues have become much more pronounced. The best way I can describe it is if you’ve ever driven down the road behind a vehicle that was in an obvious accident that resulted in the vehicle having a bent frame. . .the vehicle no longer travels down the road straight because it’s now ‘crooked’. . .Pico walks that same way. . .with the added disturbance that her legs will kind of give out from under her. In fact. . .as of yesterday evening. . .she no longer ventured off the carpeting to the tile. . .she stopped dead in her tracks at the dividing line. . .we think because she knows she’s even more unsteady on a hard surface. It’s harder for Pico to get up from a lying-down position now, too. . .so we help her up and keep her steady until she can take a step. . .but then it’s usually unsteady, at best.

Yesterday evening. . .Leon had to pick her up and carry her to the backyard to go to the bathroom before we all went to bed. . .and her foot was curled under. . .so we straightened it out for her. It took her a minute or two. . .but then she was able to walk around the yard and do her business. About 2 AM this morning. . .we heard her bell (we put a small one on her collar in order to help us hear her better moving around in the night). . .but by the time we got to her. . .she had already defecated on her bed. We had to pick her up again. . .allow her time to steady herself. . .and then walk her out the door to the yard. When she came in. . .she went right back to sleep on a doggy bed. . .and she’s been comfortable ever since.

I know that the GALT medical team is familiar with LSO and Dr. Stack's protocol, and will keep you apprised of her progress. But please, I'm not asking for long-distance diagnoses or medical advice; I'm at least three stages removed from what her treatment will be. If you have personal experience with LSO or Wobblers in Greyhounds, please PM me or Email me and I'll share with her foster home.

Please, keep her in your thoughts and prayers, and send healing energy to this stripey-faced girl.
