This is what I wanted to hear.

This is a problem nationwide, not just in greyhound racing. It is in puppy mills, it is in good adoptions gone wrong.

As long as this problem is allowed to be everywhere, it's going to happen everywhere. Not just greyhound racing.

And sorry, but the AR people will only make it a greyhound thing! :redangry:

His brothers are just as mentally sick as he is and everybody in the business knows it. I'm waiting to see if anybody does something proactive for once and puts them out of the business before this happens again.

I tried my hardest to get them out, to no avail. The only way to do it is to pull any dogs they have in their kennels and not send them any dogs.

If you look at a program from Ebro and see the names of the owners that actually sent their dogs to this idiot, you would see the same names that sent their dogs to the Bruno Steinmann kennel, another idiot that got jail time for his abuse of the dogs 10 years ago. The owners didn't care about who ran their dogs then and they don't care 10 years later. All they care about is the almighty dollar.

Smith, Porter, O'donnell...same dog owner names sending their dogs to kennels with known bad apples running them, just 10 years later.

It will happen again unless dog owners quit sending their dogs to kennels known to be run by idiots.

That's why the dogs race isn't it? Isn't the reason that owners send the dogs to the lesser tracks is to get every last penny out of the dogs that they can?

I don't think that the lower tracks are well known for the impeccable care and outstanding adoption programs- so it must be getting every last dollar out of the dog.

I know to many owners that will RETIRE a GH before they will allow them to be sent to a low end track for the sake of the dog. I also know that dogs are sent to those tracks WITHOUT the knowledge of the owner. The actions of a few do not represent the entire industry.
It's a shame we don't hear about the owners that love and care for their dogs. Farms that care for dogs even if the owners stop paying the boarding or the kennel owners that have dogs spay or neutered before they go to adoption with a check.
But back to the topic, I've talked with many "in the biz" since returning from a road trip racing the GHs. The people I've talked with are outraged by the actions of Williams.

This is a tragedy. If the insiders new he is a bad apple, why do they let him be involved in handling dogs and having a kennel? I am sure with all their power, they could and close him down. I think he should get a harsh sentence and also all those greyhound owners who own those dogs. They do have a clue where their dogs are racing, give me a break. They should. That is why greyhound racing has so many negatives stories out about the industry. I think more tougher rules, and more visits, monitoring of all involved in racing should be done. Or close these non making low end tracks and adopt out all the racers. Then we might not have these issues.
I feel for all those greyhounds who suffered at the hands of this person.

AH Yes! Dumb and Dumber. That what the Williams brothers were known as down here. Seems to me they were escorted off the compound down here by the police. I dont think they are or haven't been allowed down here in quite a while. Makes you kinda think of Ursula, doesn't it?

Ursula, there's another name that kept popping up around all kinds of investigations, and everybody knows it, yet they still sent her dogs. Then they act surprised when something happens to their dogs.

In this cruel massacre, I am horrified but not surprised.

Dumb and dumber were run out of Orlando too.

Who is "allowing" this problem to be everywhere?

I have the feeling that puppy mills have their own ARs to deal with. Or maybe they call them APMs. I wonder if they have Pro-PMs too? :yah:

Everyone is allowing it. What have you or anyone else done to change the legislation to change things? Some people are out there working their butts off to change things, but everyone else sits back and waits for someone else to do it. Everybody needs to start calling their reps., and write letters, and then things might start to change. But we ALL have to stand up.
