Last week Cora & Tom had to let Iron Man go. Last fall he started limping & sure enough it was osteo. She took him to OSU & had surgery done, he did so well with the treatments & was doing great at home.
She told me about a month ago he started coughing & she knew what it meant. He found comfort with some medication that helped with the cough, but it got worse. He started some swelling in the legs, so they decided it was time.
Iron Man was her heart dog. He was the tallest greyhound I think I have ever seen.
I know he was greeted by so many that have gone before him.
If anyone wants her email to send her a note, let me know. I think she was on the other EG board who also crossed the bridge, but she probably hasn't been on the new one.
Besides her regular brood, she's got 3 fosters that are recuperating from heartworm treatment. The woman is an earth angel for sure.

Beryl, I will. She's such a sweet person, her & Tom both. I left 4 of mine with them this past weekend, she insisted. She had heard that I was going to Louisville & she called immediately & said let me keep the ones you aren't taking. So I said Are you sure? I knew Iron Man had developed mets in his lungs & she has 11 others plus she's fostering 3 with heart worms, but she's very insistant. Doesn't want any payment in return...reminds me that she may hit me up for some babysitting sometime soon. So I took Jack Pipi Gabby & Banker up there & left them on Thursday & took Smiley with me. Jack's been limping because of arthritus so I was hesitant but she insisted. Said he'd be better with her vs with me in Louisville & she was right.
I got there yesterday afternoon to pick them up & the girls were following her around the house & the boys were in the den with Tom watching tv. It was hilarious.
AND she's picking up 5 broods on Thursday. The woman is an earth angel for sure.
