Our beautiful brood Rachel left for the Rainbow Bridge on Monday. Her hind end was gone, and her cancerous tumor was getting bigger to. Our hearts are broken.
Four days earlier, we laid my dad to rest on my birthday. Losing Rachel was a kick to the gut. We loved her so much, such a sweet girl. Her pup Elvis knew something was wrong, and he let us know Rachel wasn't doing good.
I hope to pick up her ashes tomorrow. I need her here with us. I just want her home.
Goodbye sweet Rachel.

Holly passed her TDI test yesterday, so now she'll be a registered therapy dog!! Just have to get my ID and Holly's ID tag, and we'll be set to go.

I just got my card from the NGA! I am a full member now. All the board members of my greyhound placement group went for the full memberships. We have a pre-fix now that we'll use for any greyhounds we'll race.

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for me. I took my foster Andy back to the director, who will be placing him in his forever home this weekend. I had a hard time letting this one go, but it was for the best.
But I picked up a new one, actually 2 to bring back. We have a new foster home down here, and they took one of the hounds, and I took Max. Max is 5 years old, but he acts like a 2 year old. He loves attention, and gives big, wet kisses.
I snapped a couple quick pics while he played with the toy Lisa sent him down with.
