Red passed away Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 PM at the E-Vet. I had to take him in again (he had been there a week before due to an injury from a fall - but no breaks, etc.) at 5 AM in the morning and was leaving him for an x-ray, etc. He hurt his bad leg again and was crying in pain this time, where the last time he never winced once. I was to pick him up at 4 and he would be on a pain regimen to see if it got any better, but he had a cardiac event 15 minutes before I got there. The Vet called me immediately and said they were doing CPR and I told them to stop, which he agreed with.

Red was 11-1/2 and had bad arthritis in his rear end and legs since he was 6 or 7. We had ten fantastic years with him. If they were all like Red, I would have had ten of them.

RIP my special boy.

Hi, all.

A lot of your user names seem familiar from other Forums. I adopted my first greyhound in 1997 and have been going strong since then. I have had four in my pack since 2002 and I absolutely LOVE this breed.

Hope to have lots of friendly chats with the members. biggrin.gif
